Senior Software Engineer

Software Engineer is responsible for designing, coding, and implementing applications, services, interfaces, and other software products aligned with the business needs and product management team requirements. The Software Engineer creates and provides estimates for user stories, actively participates in agile ceremonies, and provides input into architectural and strategic technology decisions. Test scenarios, unit testing, and related automation are also expected work products for this role.

Essential Functions

Write well-designed, testable code and meet quality and coding standards
Integrate software components into existing architecture
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications and services
Comply with and use all standard DevOps practices for build and deployment of solutions
Create solutions for complex problems

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or equivalent experience
Knowledge of common healthcare data and common healthcare platforms preferred
Working knowledge of agile development practices required
Experience with event streaming, microservices development, DevOps practices, and at least one public cloud platform preferred
Java knowledge required
Minimum of 4 years of experience; Senior positions require 8 years of experience

Location

Work remotely from home, with occasional travel required for company meetings or events
