Agile Development Technology Leader

Agile Development Technology Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the development of software assets using agile development methods, including Scrum or Kanban. This person will provide guidance and oversight in the practices and ceremonies of agile methods. They also bring working knowledge of DevOps practices to drive continuous improvement in the development, build, test, and deployment of software solutions. Leading effective ceremonies, providing transparency to progress to stakeholders, and working with developers and architects to ensure nonfunctional requirements are documented, understood, and adopted, are all key responsibilities for this role.

Essential Functions
  • Facilitate agile process and ceremonies with one or more development teams
  • Administer the tools used to do task management and collaboration
  • Produce burndown charts and other communications tools to ensure transparency
  • Escalate impediments, risks, and issues that the team cannot address
  • Drive the grooming of the backlog with relevant stakeholders
  • Work with product management and architects to maintain product backlog
  • Balance the needs of the customer with the level of technical debt to make recommendations

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of common healthcare data and common healthcare platforms preferred
  • Working knowledge of agile development practices required
  • Experience with event streaming, microservices development, DevOps practices, and at least one public cloud platform preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience
Location
  • Work remotely from home, with occasional travel required for company meetings or events
